Winners of the Weekend Box Office Race: 9/12

Turns out the American public won't just watch any crap. 'Bucky Larson' bombed hard. Coming in at number 15, 'Bucky Larson' averaged just $967 a theater. That was leaps and bounds better than new horror release, 'Creature.' 'Creature' made $331,000 at 1,500 theaters making an average of $220 a theater. I have to imagine that it cost more to show this movie than the money the theaters brought in from tickets. Box Office Mojo had some choice words for these two films.
To put it another way, it was the worst ever for a movie playing at 1,500 locations or more. Its per-showing attendance was less than six people, though Bucky Larson wasn't much better at a little over eight.
On to the results.
