What to Watch Tonight- Big Brother's Puffy Taco

Sorry about the lack of posts today and the timing of them. I am in the process of moving and today was a big day for packing. The summer season is winding down and the fall season is still a few weeks away, so we are in a purgatory of television programming. I will try my hardest to find quality shows for the next few weeks of "What to Watch Tonight," but I can't promise anything. On to the shows.

Big Brother (CBS)- Jeff is the head of household and he has nominated Porsche and Kalia for eviction. Tonight is the POV competition. If you have been following this blog you know I will be watching tonight.

Buried Treasure (FOX)- Series premiere. Former 'Antiques Roadshow' experts Leigh and Leslie Keno (both guys by the way) search through peoples junk in hopes of finding valuables. I made mention of a picking show yesterday and now this? Fox is trying to cash in on the recent success of junk=money shows like 'American Pickers', 'Picker Sisters', 'Storage Wars', 'Pawn Stars', and several other shows on basic cable. I am interested to see if this will catch on to a major broadcast network.

Man v. Food Nation (Travel)- Adam Richman "coaches a retired Navy officer who's trying eat 23 puffy tacos in 90 minutes." What is a puffy taco? It sounds like a sexual innuendo.

Top Chef: Just Desserts (Bravo)- Season premiere. I love 'Top Chef' and I was really jonesing for it this week, but 'Just Desserts' can't satisfy my cooking competition needs. There is no Tom Colicchio, so I just can't do it.

Netflix: The Extra Man- This was a recommendation by my father, but I haven't seen it. He tells me that Kevin Kline puts in some fine acting because he is an "actour." I will check it out soon, but if you do first, post a review under the comments. Also starring Katie Holmes and John C. Reilly

What to Watch Tonight- Crabwalkin'

Big Brother (CBS)- POV competition tonight. Rachel and Jeff are on the block and Kalia just made two enemies. A twist for this week is that whoever gets voted out of the house can compete with another former housemate to get back into the house. This can cause some trouble for Kalia and partner Daniele.

So You Think You Can Dance (FOX)- Part one of the season finale. I do not know who is left or what this show is except for a dance competition. Feel free to review it in the comment section.

Famous Food (VH1)- I think this is about c-list celebrities cooking on show like "Top Chef," but I am not sure and I am too indifferent about it to look it up.

Man v. Food Nation (Travel)- The description for tonight's episode is "a rugby player tries to down 15 wieners in 45 minutes or less." I always thought rugby players were a bit different.

Netflix: The Comedians of Comedy: The Movie- This 2005 follows Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, and Zach Galifianakis on the road on the Comedians of Comedy tour. It's pretty interesting and you can see Zach Galifianakis before he hit the big time. Now for your viewing pleasure, Patton Oswalt's "crabwalkin'."

What to Watch Tonight- Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

I guaranteed a post earlier today and have I delivered. Well, I did post earlier, but I can't touch on the quality. You be the judge. 

Big Brother (CBS)- I didn't used to be a fan of this show, but I was sucked in last year. This season is half all stars and half new players. It is the show that I love to hate. I am rooting for soft hearted, rocker Adam. 

Storage Wars (A&E)- This show is a guilty pleasure. I love to hate on Dave and Barry is an affable rich guy. I don't care what they are buying and subsequently lying about how much they'll get for it, I still enjoy this show.

Monty Python's Life of Brian (IFC)- A classic Monty Python movie. I still remember my dad introducing me to Monty Python when I was a wee-lad. I hope my children will be as accepting to the Brit-humour as I was.

Man v. Food Nation (Travel)- I guess Adam Richman's doctor told him to lay off the food. I haven't caught very much of "Food Nation," but I guess Richman has convinced locals to eat in his place for a free t-shirt. I am glad Richman is no longer competing. I feel like he would lose the easiest of challenges. I mean for God's sake, he had two bites left on his first omelet challenge. What a joke.

Netflix: Dead Alive- This Peter Jackson film from 1992 is a cult classic. Take some time to enjoy this over-the-top splatterfest including such classic scenes as the lawnmower weaponization. At the very least go youtube that scene.
